Abstract: The bioeconomy formation as a prerequisite of social functioning conditions improving is analysed, its components are defined. Economic potential of biotechnologies and their meaning in global economy are evaluated. Comparison of advantages of using new generation technologies with traditional is done through their connection between economic growth and environment.
