Abstract: Development of a methodological framework for the assessment of innovative activity of enterprises is relevant for both theoretical science, and in the light of the practical requirements for the development of an innovative economy. This paper presents an approach to the evaluation of innovative activity, which takes into account not only the relationship of economic indicators, but also determines the level of innovation activity of enterprises and organizations using the statistical data and the calculation of specific indicators (ratios). The presented approach can be used to determine the innovation activity of enterprises and organizations at the levels of industry, regions, ministries and departments.
