Abstract: The article deals with problems of presentation and collection of environmental tax on discharges of pollutants directly into water bodies. The basic trends of bringing environmental tax on discharges of pollutants directly into water bodies during the period from 2000 to 2012 are analysed. Promising directions to improve the efficiency of fiscal adjustment of restoration and protection of water resources are offered.
