Abstract:
The essence of current legal, technical and practical inconsistencies and asymmetry between the requirements of regulations relating to safety and quality of food of EU member and Customs Union and Ukraine is analysed. The article deals with the difficult situation of Ukraine to harmonize diverse and asymmetric regulations and requirements of the EU directives, technical regulations of CU and national standards, valid or enforceable in place and assessed the possible loss of one-sided orientation of domestic companies on their compliance. It is systematized the main directions and specific tools, procedures and processes, implementation of which will significantly bring together the EU technical regulations, Ukraine and CU, to limit the role of institutional factors in the coagulation of foreign economic relations and facilitate faster transition of agricultural and food-processing enterprises to the modern production technology of food products manufacturing.
