Abstract:
Theoretical foundations are grounded and practical experience of optimisation territorial network of production facilities, food processing enterprises is analysed under the conditions of the transition to market economy principles. Economic background, motivation and social safeguards, under the influence of indirect and direct action which took place the transformation of agro-food systems in European countries are systematized. The suggestions aimed at mitigating the negative effects of transforming the food and tobacco industry for the effects of globalization, integration, innovation and other processes as well as changes in arrangement and agricultural production are worked out.
