Abstract: In the article, the condition of socio-economic development of Azerbaijan is analysed on the basis of long-term statistics; its place is shown in the process of global integration. The role and importance of innovative activity of foreign and joint ventures in development of the economy are estimated, taking into consideration the “Gilan Holding†and its individual enterprise; the recommendations to develop their activity at the territory of the republic are made.
