Abstract: In the article, on the basis of long-term statistics of the mass media, it is analysed the current state of socioeconomic development of the Absheron economic region; given the classification of newly constructed large enterprises, innovation infrastructure; disclosed their sphere of activity; assessed the state of development of agriculture, construction, trade, catering, paid services; identified the relevant provisions and the recommendations for their management and the prospective development of the region.
