Formation of global information economy: the role of corporate sector

Abstract:
This article deals with applied aspects of formation and functioning of the information economy at the global level. The importance and role of corporations in the processes of economy's informatization are characterized. The existence of connection between the level of information technologies' prevalence and economic potential of corporations in certain world countries is determined. The main directions of corporations' convergence with informational global environment are highlighted: activity of corporations in the sector of information and communication technologies; interaction with consumers and investors; inner processes of corporation.
