Abstract: The article deals with research of air safety as a component of the environmental security of border regions of Western Ukraine. The main indicators of air pollution in certain regions have been analysed. The assessment of air safety and intensity of the processes of modernization has been provided. The basic strategic advantages of the border regions of Western Ukraine that should be actively developed and used in the future have been determined.
