Institutional changes in processing chains of forest sector: priorities and determinants

Abstract: The expediency to hold institutional changes in the forest sector with an aim of expanded reproduction of processing chains' potential restoration has been substantiated in the article. The main trends of export and import of timber and forest products from 2001 to 2015 have been analysed, and the reserves to increase supplies of products with high added value to foreign markets and decrease of volumes of unproductive import of forest products have been revealed. The priorities of institutional changes in forest sector by forming holdings, financial and industrial groups and cluster formations that will allow to increase the amounts of investment support for implementation of projects to restore capacities of wood processing segment of forest sector of Ukraine have been suggested.
