Abstract: The article deals with the issues of the content characteristics of the scientific category of financial and economic regulation for the field of natural resources. Functional characteristics of the regulation process have been determined. The approaches to understanding regulation in the context of the interaction between the natural resources using cycle (NRUC) and the market process cycle (MPC) have been formed. The author's interpretation of the category of financial and economic regulation has been provided.
