Abstract: The analytical conclusions of the current state and trends of development of the global field of intellectual property have been suggested. The comparative analysis of competitive advantages of mature and developing economies in the field of intellectual property, including in terms of international markets, has been performed. The modern methods and instruments of state policy on stimulating the intellectual property development field have been determined. The necessity for more efficient broad utilization of Ukrainian intellectual property to stimulate innovative processes and ensure sustainable economic development has been substantiated.
