Prospects for the development of the European consumer co-operation under the conditions of global challenges of the modernity

Abstract: The place and role of co-operatives in the socio-economic development of European countries have been shown. The most important socio-economic issues to intensify on the European continent in the period up to 2030-2050 have been systematized. The role of European consumer co-operation in solving global problems of the modernity has been defined. The expediency to actively introduce technological advances, innovations and technologies of alternative energetics into the activity of consumer co-operation has been substantiated. The directions to solve future problems in the European labour market and overcome the threats of forced mass international migration have been outlined. The economic, organizational, social and institutional components of the perspective model of the co-operative system development in European countries at the present stage have been substantiated.
