Abstract: The educational thing, in the economic thought, it has been present in the different references to the productive process. Consequently, the economists and the educators have been interested, in planning the education with the purpose of responding to the demands of economic growth that the society demands from the educational system. This way, the functions of the education are interpreted from the economic environment. In and of itself, we leave of the origin of the discipline called economics of the education, we continue with the reference to the expert of the educational thing in relation to the application of the rational premises of the economic fact. In that sense, the contributions and the economic perspectives are stood out, to describe the main taxes of the precursors of the theory of the human capital.
