Abstract:
The present article provides a literature review of the Venezuelan migratory phenomenon that began in 2015. Currently, Venezuela is the country with the largest migrant population in the world, without a war situation, in proportion to its population. This situation is considered the result of an ideological and economic model imposed on an open society, which has not only led to the expulsion of nearly 25% of the country’s population but also to an economic decline with chronic inflation. The main reason cited for migration, from all social and economic strata, is the search for a life of opportunities, being a process that has primarily affected those who undertake it with limited economic resources.
