Abstract:
Educational inequality is a topic widely discussed in the literature, with different factors that influence the unequal distribution of students. In that order, the study aims to test the hypothesis that there is educational segmentation around socio-economic conditions of students. To do this, the study used data from the Permanent Household Survey for the period 2004-2013 and used model of Generalized Ordered Logit and Ordered Logit. The results show evidence for the proposed hypothesis
