Abstract:
This paper aims at analyzing the workforce in the Western Region of Romania in order to identify proposals to improve and adapt it to major educational and economic changes in the society, towards the overall development of Romania in the 2014-2020 period. We use and interpret statistical data and findings by the Romanian government and the West Development Agency. We emphasize specific characteristics of the labor force in this region in terms of demography, tradition, skills and economic development. We articulate proposals for the improvement of specific characteristics of the labor force for the placement in the Romanian econimic development trends, for the coming period.
