Abstract: The paper focuses on the analysis of the impact of consumption from own resources on the incidence of relative poverty, by disposable income, on the threshold of 60% of median income. Highlighting consumption from own resources results from the differences between the relative poverty rates in the presence / absence of consumption from own resource of the disposable incomes of persons / households, per adult equivalent, on the modified OECD scale. The analysis of the results of carried out evaluations / simulations is based on the microdata from the Household Budget Surveys / National Institute of Statistics, between 2008 and 2013. These aspects captured in their dynamic consider different characteristics, such as the area of residence, the size of the household, the age of the head of household, gender, etc.
