Abstract: This paper analysis the theoretical basis of making the government audit involve in the national economic security through the three perspectives of audit essence, government supervision, institutional equilibrium, and studies the government audit to play the strategic defense and the removal, repair of micro-system roles to maintain the national economic security, then from a correct understanding to the connotation and denotation of the economic security, through the several aspects of improving the auditing system, establishing the evaluation index system of economic security, emphasizing the financial security auditing and the national economy information security auditing, providing the government how audit should play its role better in the aspect of national economic security maintenance.
