A SIMPLIFIED MODEL OF AN INTERACTION DYNAMICS IN WORK GROUPS

Petr Snapka and Josef Kasik

Journal of Applied Economic Sciences, 2012, vol. 7, issue 3(21)/ Fall 2012, 302-311

Abstract: The aim of the paper is to draw up a simplified model of an interaction dynamics in work groups. A work group in this model is considered to be a system whose behaviour can be expressed through four variables which are functions of time; to be specific, by means of: the interaction intensity among the work group members, level of friendly relations among the work group members, level of activity and initiative of the work group members and the level of external pressure of the workgroup’s surroundings exerted on the group members. Further, the proposed system of interaction in work groups is investigated from the view of the general theory of system regulation. A regulated system is considered to be a group of workers and the regulated quantity is the level of friendly relations among the group members and/or the level of activity and initiative among the group members. A regulating system consists of a system of conditions present in the group in a certain period of time which affect achieving the equilibrium state of the system. Some dependences resulting from the proposed model are also interpreted.
