Abstract:
Many publications and reports on the financial stability and the global risks highlight several threats to the regional or world economic financial stability. However, these menaces have been enumerated and evaluated to the extent they could have been identified, since there are many other negative aspects that are difficult to track and classify as risks, vulnerabilities, incertitude, etc. While the vulnerabilities and risks are approached a lot in the relevant literature, it cannot be said the same about the concept of tensions. Thus, this article tries1 to clarify the concept of tension, while presenting various typologies of the tension, which may facilitate the identification of several tensions specific to the monetary market. The paper also analyses how much the evolution of the exchange rate from January 2005 to January 2015 can show important tensions for the monetary market from Romania.
