Abstract: In this paper, we propose to review the theory of the implementation of sustainable business models of the last generation to profit in the circular economy. The circular economy model has become more and more important in recent decades as a replacement model for the classical, linear economic approach, in which products are manufactured, used and then disposed of, with a significant loss of value, due to the depletion of classical material resources, the need to protect the natural environment and develop sustainable businesses. The success of the circular economy concept involves all three dimensions of sustainable development - economic, environmental protection and social dimension, with sustainability being the subject of corporate reporting.
