Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the positive impact that ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) could have on the rural area of Romania from the perspective of sustainable economic development. I will focus on 2 main factors: ICT infrastructure and economic activities from rural area impacted by ICT in Romania. The findings will be put in balance with the other countries‘experience.
