Abstract: Economic development, economic structure and energy efficiency measures are the main factors influencing domestic consumption of primary energy. The main restriction is the limited nature of internal fossil fuel resources and declining domestic production trends, which leads to increased dependence of the country on primary energy imports. An accurate assessment of the possibilities to meet the need for primary energy resources in perspective must start from the current situation of certain reserves correlated with the realistic estimation of potential resources and closely related to the projected consumption of resources determined by final energy demand
