Abstract: Among the reasons for looking for waste options, including fruit and vegetable production and processing, are the reduction of negative environmental impacts, the optimal use of natural resources, and the reduction of the accumulation of landfilled waste. The aim of the paper is to review the presentation and highlighting of some modern trends in the potential use of fruit and vegetable waste based on a systematic analysis of the studied scientific literature. As a result of this study, it has been found that this specific type of waste is the subject of diverse and wide-ranging research by scientists worldwide, which highlights and supports the topicality of the subject under consideration. The directions of work on the development of new optimal management strategies for the future efficient use and utilization of fruit and vegetable waste are expanding and deepening.
