Abstract:
Work values are important construct in regard to human resource management. They exert influence on employees' attitudes and behavior in the organizational context. The aim of the article is to clarify the meaning of work values and their role in the context of human resource management. The majority of studies focus on the relation between work values and person-organization fit, retention, job satisfaction, motivation, job performance and cultural differences. A theoretical model of the relation "work values – human resource management activities" is developed from the literature overview.
