RegTech and SupTech – the High-tech Innovations in the Field of Financial Regulation

Abstract: Increased supervisory pressure on financial sector provokes the search for new options for its mitigation, as well as for reduction of resulting cost burden. A possible decision in this direction is the emergence of high-tech RegTech and SupTech companies, specialized in regulatory compliance. Their appearance is a direct consequence of the actual process of digital transformation including deployment of tools from the field of artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, cloud computing, etc. The article examines the main fields of application of specialized RegTech and SupTech toolkit and its integration into financial sector.
