Districts of Varna and Burgas – transport opportunities and prospects

Abstract: This paper aims to examine the transport capabilities of the two major Bulgarian districts Varna and Burgas and to compare their potential to provide alternatives when making decisions related to the movement of passengers and cargo on the territory of Bulgaria and outside the country. In a comparative overview we examine the main modes, which provide infrastructure and transport processes, which are performed within the territorial scope of districts of Varna and Burgas.
