Economic and Social Benefits of Conservation Agriculture

Abstract: The topic of effective use of resources, their conservation for the forthcoming generations and solving the supply problem achieves increasing actuality. The estimated general downturn in the GDP of the countries in the European Union could be between ˆ20 and ˆ65bln., as a considerable decrease of the agricultural production is awaited. This calls for immediate precautions in order to adapt the sector to the changing conditions, adoption of new production practices, gaining new knowledge and abilities to manage the production system.
