Izvestia Journal of the Union of Scientists - Varna. Economic Sciences Series, 2016, issue 2, 100-108

Abstract: In today's world the process-oriented nature of innovations is coming to the fore, and as a result their implementation could be facilitated by business process management systems. Business process management systems are a relatively new type of information system; they support the full life cycle of business processes, enabling their design, implementation, execution and evaluation. In this paper the author reveals the mechanism of functioning of business process management systems and explores their capabilities and advantages in several directions: innovation deployment, innovation creation, and accelerated adoption of modern information technologies in business processes.
