Opportunities for Utilization of Waste From Fruits and Vegetables

Abstract: In the context of the implementation of environmentally friendly policies and in relation to the concept of integrated waste management, there has been a growing interest in the last years in the waste generated by different sectors of the food industry, including the waste produced in the production and processing of fruit and vegetables. The paper examines the possibilities for utilization of fruit and vegetable waste based on an overview and analysis of the data from the scientific literature. A descriptive-analytical approach was used.
