Abstract: The report examines the control activities of the State Commission of Information Security, as one of the bodies ensuring compliance with the rules for protection of classified information. Undoubtedly, the fast and efficient protection of classified information is a matter of great public importance, and the unregulated disclosure or disclosure of information, as well as illegal access to it can damage the interests of the state and its security to varying degrees. The control performs basic public functions such as the lawful application of the legislation governing the protection of classified information. Based on the performed analysis, conclusions are made regarding the effectiveness of the control activity of the commission for compliance with the legislation for protection of classified information.
