Abstract: The introduction of the new Law on Social Services regulates the main guidelines for the provision of social services in the community. This report aims to identify, based on a survey of a sample of social workers with different qualifications, users of services covered by the provisions of the new legislation and family members of people at risk, the need to introduce a new type of social services and / or the need to expand the scope of those already defined in its provisions. It has been established that there is a need for changes in the types of social services in the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria to widen their scope and increase the types of services.
