Abstract: The aim of the development is to clarify the new legislative changes in the Health Insurance Act and their further development in Decree No. 69 of 5 May 2022 on health insurance for persons with temporary protection under Art. 3 of the Asylum and Refugee Act and persons under Art. 39 para. 6 item 2 and Art. 40a para. 3a of the Health Insurance Act concerning the status of refugees, persons with temporary protection and persons with humanitarian status. Through a systematization of the current texts, the framework of the following qualities of the persons' health insurance status, the volume of medical benefits due to them and the specifics of their payment are outlined, and conclusions and generalizations about the established regulatory mechanism are drawn.
