Abstract: The subject of this report is a study of the legal framework of the European Union on economic interests, provided for in Regulation (EEC) No. 2137/85 of the Council of 25.07.1985 (OJ, L 199, 31.07. 1985, p. 1), with in order to clarify its legal status. Conclusions are made about the existence of prerequisites and the objective necessity of its recognition as an independent legal entity in the individual member states, which is the idea behind the Regulation itself
