Abstract:
The doctrine of intellectual property from its origin until recently has existed and functioned with an emphasis on the legal aspect of this matter. Under the pressure of processes of a different nature, the legal aspect is gradually displaced by the social and economic aspects. This changes the role of the legal aspect from a basis for the existence of intellectual property to a means of achieving economic and social goals.
