Abstract: Digitalization has covered all spheres of public life, incl. the examination and resolution of criminal cases. In this regard, the subject of this report is the audio-video recording of the court session as a new form of documentation (protocoling). The provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, which allow its preparation in the first instance, appeal and cassation proceedings, have been analyzed. Its procedural essence is also clarified, and in the conclusion, de lege ferenda proposals for expanding its legal regulation in the Civil Procedure Code are presented. civil confiscation, illegally acquired property, Engel criteria, ECtHR.
