Abstract:
This article, presents the development of ideas, on the role of consumption in the economy. A special place is dedicated, to the publications, by Bulgarian authors. The historical experience, has testified, that none of the economic doctrines is capable of making universal recommendations. The exact effects, of the change in consumption depend on the economic situation, the household consumption pattern, and the factors, that provoked the changes
