Abstract:
There are pronounced regional differences in the average household income in the different administrative districts in Bulgaria. We examine the structure of the average household income in order to analyse the relation between the income level and the components of which the income is comprised. The most important components are wages and pensions. Our regression model shows that regional differences in the household income are affected by differences in the employment coefficient and the level of wages in the administrative district.
