Regional Differences in the Entrepreneurial Activity in Bulgaria - Metrification and Trends

Abstract:
The economic development of the regions in Bulgaria is characterized by growing regional differences. This report clarifies the main features of entrepreneurial activity, its regional displays and trends. The measures taken by local authorities to overcome regional imbalances should be based on objective empirical analysis and comparable indicators such as the Total Entrepreneurial Activity Index (TEA Index); Theil index; depth of regional entrepreneurial activity and others.
