Defined as "an industry located within (intra-urban) or on the fringe (peri-urban) of a town, a city or a metropolis, which grows and raises, processes and distributes a diversity of food and non-food products" (Stewart et.al.) urban agriculture is a kind of informal food supply system. An attention to urban agriculture as a phenomenon in many countries arises. Analyses and attempts for systemizing of benefits and negatives of urban agriculture appears.
