Abstract: The report examines the potential applications of mediation in anti-discrimination proceedings. In order to achieve an objective assessment, on one hand is considered the Bulgarian Protection against Discrimination Act and the Commission for Protection against Discrimination, as an independent specialized body, and on the other hand, the experience of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the USA and the UK.
