Abstract:
Grain production is a strategic and structurally determining sector in the Bulgarian economy, which in recent years has been subjected to particularly great pressure from the negative effects of climate change. It is precisely on the consequences of climate change that the present study is determined. Results of a study of grain production in the Veliko Tarnovo region are presented. The results and structure of grain production for the period 2021-2024 are analyzed. Development trends, problems and the causes that give rise to them are revealed. Based on the analysis, general conclusions are presented and guidelines are given for increasing the competitiveness and achieving sustainable development of this important sector.
