Abstract:
The conference paper analyzes innovation activity in agriculture based on FADN data for Northeastern Bulgaria. The topic is highly relevant in the context of sustainability, competitiveness, and technological transformation. Although FADN does not directly measure innovation, it provides indicators related to economic and investment activity. The theoretical framework draws on concepts from innovation economics and endogenous growth theory. Correlation and regression analyses were applied to selected FADN variables. The study highlights the potential of FADN as a tool for assessing innovation dynamics in agriculture, while also emphasizing the need to further develop indicators and methodologies that more directly reflect innovation processes. The findings offer a basis for reflection in the formulation of policies aimed at fostering innovation and rural development.
