Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the challenges and opportunities faced by the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the agri-food sector in Bulgaria. Some key European policies and funding opportunities are summarized and some priority areas for development in the agri-food sector are outlined as a basis for the development of start-ups in Bulgaria.
