Abstract:
This research aims to identify major groups of challenges with potential to impact higher education institutions in a broader perspective (including their capacity for managerial innovation) and to highlight some opportunities for the development of the higher education system in Bulgaria. Identifying and analyzing challenges allows for a realistic view of the education system by linking individual components and contextual factors.
