Abstract: The research covers the shopping centers in Varna:Pfohe Mall, Mall Varna, Grand Mall Varna, Mall Varna TowersandDelta Planet Mall, showing the transformation from their opening until the beginning of 2020.The reasons for their periodic reconception and transformation after finalizing their life cycle, achieving the desired new synergetic effect, were considered. The influence of the connecting infrastructure to adjacent retail chains which forms trade cluster was analyzed.These changes are mainly conveyed by adjustment of retail spaces into modern offices, sports and children‘s centers, museum exhibitions, farmers markets, enlarging cinema halls, etc. Thus,shopping centers are continuously improved and developed in order to meet the new consumer requirements.
