Rossitsa Chobanova ()

Economic Science, education and the real economy: Development and interactions in the digital age, 2020, issue 1, 71-80

Abstract: The contemporary acceleration of the processes of creation and application of new knowledge, especially of information and communication technologies has affected not only one sector. It has become a new phenomenon of economic development defined as digitalization of economy and society, increasingly acquiring the characteristics of Schumpeter-Kondratieff innovation wave. In these circumstances, increasing the intensity of research and innovation is vital for the development of any economy. Given the importance of this problem, we set out here to determine the success rate of public policy for ensuring high R&D intensity of economic development and to draw conclusions about the change of paradigm for economic development.
