Abstract:
The widespread use of mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) enables consumers to download, install and use a variety of mobile applications. They are part of omnichannel trade and contribute to the digitalization of the purchasing process. They participate in the processes of consumer digital connectivity and involvement. Based on secondary information, the paper presents some of the trends in consumers’ lives with regard to use of mobile applications. The mobile applications of some of the retail chains operating on the Bulgarian market are considered as well. An attempt is made to reveal the benefits of using mobile applications for consumers and sellers.
