Abstract: E-commerce has led to radical qualitative changes in trading patterns based on increased digitisation and accelerated technological development. E-commerce has become the fastest-growing market, enabling businesses to generate efficiency gains at all stages of their production and distribution processes. This paper presents the results of a study on the state and evolution of e-commerce in EU countries. It examines the main trends and differences in e-commerce between EU countries and highlights several positive and negative effects.
